Well, this is my blog. I'm actually kind of curious as to how you found this particular website if you're not close friends or family of mine. I mean, normal people don't just go around typing "Little Bookworm Girl" into their Google search engines. Well, you did. Because if you didn't, you know, you wouldn't be here...
Moving on.
You're probably wondering why I built this site in the first place. I just wanted to create a nice, safe place where smart, sophisticated people could relax, read my enchanting posts, and drink iced tea. Either that or I was just bored. More likely the latter.
Anyway, about the site. At first it was just going to be book recommendations. But everyone knows that book websites are just plain boring. I mean seriously. They are. Don't lie to yourself, because you'll just be wasting your life.
Then I thought, what if I make a website about my life. Like my journal. Then I realized that people would hate that too. So then I decided to make a website of BOTH of them combined.
Hey, I like taking risks. But don't worry, I'll make it work. After all, I won 3 academic awards in grade school, probably because of all of the narrative essays I got 50 out of 50 on. Not to mention I never had less than an A in English all throughout middle school. And... trying really hard not to brag here... I drew a picture for a magazine.
Kay, you're right, that has absolutely nothing to do with the topic on the table. I don't even know why the picture got in the magazine, considering the fact that I had never in my life taken art lessons. Maybe the editor felt sorry for me. Maybe it was the fact that my sister was the editor.
The point is, I'm going to make this an off the charts blog, hundreds of people visiting every day. And if I don't, I'll just edit this part out.
Anyway, I thought to kick of the grand opening of my website, I'd start with a book review! I read this book a few months ago, I would probably suggest it for ages 12 and up. It's called The Adoration of Jenna Fox by Mary Pearson. It's a futuristic sci-fi kind of book, so if you're into that stuff then this book is good for you. There's also a sequel and a third one too (trequel? triquel? The world may never know).
That's about it for now. Keep reading.
